Our Jyotish Star for October is San Francisco Bay Area Neo Vedic Astrologer and Psychic Hank Friedman. Juliana Swanson of Hawaii gives us yet again another insightful interview. I personally enjoyed Hanks adventures through his hobby with chocolate. I am sure you will enjoy Frank's journey as he went from doubtful scientist to prolific astrologer and author!
Hank also provided us with a great article on the art of Nakshatra analysis and the vital importance of placement of the planet in the natal chart. | | |
As the Planets Move... This October we will have our final two eclipses of 2014, a total lunar eclipse on October 8th and a partial solar eclipse on October 23rd. Many planetary changes happen this month as Mercury heads back towards exaltation and Saturn nears the final days of its 2 year transit in exaltation in Libra. It will be just under 30 years before Saturn returns to exaltation, and 60 years before both Jupiter and Saturn run exalted again. July of 2073 Jupiter will exalt and Saturn will be late degrees of Libra. The next time this occurs for only 3 months instead of the 6 months we have enjoyed in 2014.
We continue our coverage with an article on the different ascendants under the combined influence of the slower moving Jyotish planets, transiting exalted Jupiter and exalted Saturn along with the nodes, Rahu and Ketu. Early next month, on November 2nd Saturn will move to Scorpio and the combined influences will change house focus from one sign -- Cancer to two -- Scorpio and Capricorn who will receive the mutual influence of Jupiter and Saturn. Jupiter will then aspect Saturn instead of Saturn aspecting Jupiter as well. This combination will be in play for the Sun transiting the signs of Libra through Gemini at which time Jupiter will move to Leo in July of 2015. Libra Sun Transit
Our November Jyotish Star will be Vedic Astrologer Sri Sarbani Rath of New Delhi, India. |
