| Some Retrograde thoughts on the Stationary Venus. Life-coaching is how I perceive the stars and planets to influence some of us humans these days. In honor of the current retrograde motion of Venus, let�s just go with this concept for the moment. The planets don�t *make* you do anything � unless you default to them. By not having your own plans. The word �cosmos� means �order�. So, literally, The Cosmos is orderly. Astrology is the language of the Cosmos, I believe. So �being conscious of the essential situation of the planets overhead � could put you more in orderly alignment with them. Enabling a view from the cosmic perspective of Jyotisha. The planetary life-coach Venus has been particularly motivating of late because of his (yes, �his� gender-bender Venus!) [Editor�s note: in Vedic astrology all planets are �male.�] association with 3 major karma-cutting planets. (Mars/Kuja, South Node/Ketu, and Saturn/Shani) Our gentle readers may have felt something of this passionate effect recently.
Random comment: People born on or around June 21; or July 5 and 6; or July 10; or August 7 � of *any* year -could especially benefit in their careers/public standing/status, soon. Values are shifting. Venus is stationary right now, � motionless � in the constellation of The Crab. How can you use this cosmic piece of information? Now that Venus is resuming natural forward motion, it may be that you finally have all the information you need for an agreement, or for any commitment. Venus in Stationary, Direct motion, now Sept 6, 2015, says that some kind of shift in mundane priorities will be more evident. Interest rates and other key global financial indicators could reverse long-held positions. Certain currencies could be devalued, even beyond what they were this past summer. (Thinking of Greece, Puerto Rico, China!) Precious metals, vehicles, and luxury investments have made news lately (Venus in regal Leo). Durable goods; low-risk/long-term investments; and fixed assets/real estate could have been good values recently, too.( Because Venus was, and still is, in private Cancer.) A comment on the back-assward political memes. Jupiter in Leo being so close to Venus throughout the summer, has reflected even more hyperbole, hypocrisy, ego, and bombast than usual in this cycle. Politics = entertainment for the duration, perhaps. Consider: Issues with allowing a different amount of space in your personal/emotional relationships. Of any close type. More space if you need distance, or more closeness, maybe just because it�s a different style. Many personal relationships, e.g. sisters of any sort, could be reorganized, or resolved, if appropriate. All alliances can now be a bit more objectively re-calibrated for value received. Observe where you put your time, and your attention during the first half of September. You could learn something about your current Self! Invest in real, long-term personal emotional security. Venus is in the constellation of Cancer. Look objectively at what your authentic current value system, especially involving home and family, has evolved into. Who loves ya, Baby? (I�m writing this on Throwback Thursday.) Whether you are in a domestic arrangement or not, you can create your own personal, emotional security. And you can build a family and community almost anywhere. Right? Take extra due diligence on what you fall in love with, though. The slow movement of Venus could have caused some confusion about Love, Eros, Kama and the �papas� that flesh is heir to. There could be a wave of new babies, born late next spring. Self-discovery, first. Then discovery of the Outer. Introspect, contemplate, meditate during this early part of September. Venus is the dazzling white Morning Star, hanging in the East before Sunrise, now. Stillness could be a literal metaphor for Venus� mood � powerfully standing still in the Heavens right now � perhaps in motionless meditation. Create something. Anything! Create value from something other than your familiar media. Improvise, experiment. Move forward with any perhaps anomalous, or retro inspirations. Define your motivation. Gain can come from the past. Consider what can be revived, re-purposed; re-established. Or what/who from your past could be relinquished, or relieved, or released. De-clutter - or put it back into service! Saturn, while not currently aspecting Venus will begin to aspect him when Venus goes direct and moves back into Leo on September 30th. Saturn�s influence says that gain can come from objectively setting new boundaries, and goals, around finances and feelings. Ketu is also currently influencing Venus, suggesting that this might be easier said, than done! Debilitated Mars is also right there with Venus. This volatile combination could manifest as more provocation, it could indicate more volatile relationships between genders and also more creativity in general. It persists off and on throughout the fall of 2015. You won�t be bored! More on that in the next issue.
