Planetary Tips

March 1st to March 31st 2013

by Christina Collins

We begin March with a huge conjunction of 4 planets (5 for those who count the outer planet Neptune). Mars, Mercury Rx, Sun and Venus in the sign of Aquarius. Saturn RX and Rahu continue in Libra. (this makes 6 planets in the Air signs of Aquarius and Libra!) Observe as the moon moves to Libra as well, then on to Aquarius on the 10th of March these combinations of so many planets in Air signs usually cause explosions, winds, tornados, and sometimes airplane disasters, especially with Ketu in Aries a fire sign. (this first began a few days ago when the Moon was in Gemini on the 20th and 21st of February. The intensity will lesson on the 10th, as by then, Mars will be in Pisces. Overall the 6/8 axis of Jupiter and Saturn destabilizes many balances both in nature and in the personal charts of individuals. Jupiter expands, and Saturn restricts. Jupiter and Saturn both aspect by conjunction (same house) or opposition. Jupiters special set of aspects are 5 and 9 (Jupiter throws a trine) and Saturns special set of aspects is 3 and 10 (aspects the 3rd house from its position in a chart and the 10th house from its position)

This means of course, that right now, there is NO house of the 12 where they mutually aspect. Jupiter aspects Taurus and Scorpio, Virgo and Capricorn; and Saturn aspects Libra and Aries, Sagittarius and Cancer. Many good experiences both macrocosmically (world) and microcosmically (individual) will come into balance this summer when Jupiter moves to Gemini. (More about this in June.)

March 3 Mars will become sandi at 29° as it leaves Aquarius

March 4 Mars moves to Pisces note Mars is close to earth in its orbit, so it will move quickly about a degree a day. Mars, as it orbits goes up and down (like a funnel). When it is at the bottom of the funnel it is closer to the earth in its movement which can cause quick, or dramatic experiences when it orbits around the top of the funnel, then it moves much more slowly and can be in a sign for many months. This is a good thing to observe in the natal charts and event charts that you examine. Check out whether Mars was in the sign for a long or short time. The experience differs as does the interpretation of that charts Mars. (things happen fast, things take forever to change; for example an illness may be quick, or may linger.

March 13 Sun becomes sandi at 29° as it leaves Aquarius

March 14 Sun moves to Pisces at 00. (Remember to take caution in travelling on the 13th and 14th.

March 16 Venus becomes sandi at 29° of Aquarius

March 17 Mercury goes direct in motion.

March 17 Venus moves to Pisces and its sign of exaltation. It will now form a very powerful parivartana yoga with Jupiter as they exchange houses. (Jupiter in Taurus, the house of Venus, and Venus in Pisces, the house of Jupiter)

March 18 Venus will have 1 degree of arc (more stable than zero on the 17th) and the Moon will be exalted in Taurus conjunct Jupiter. (Gaja Keseri Yoga a yoga or union of strength Gaja means elephant (think Ganesha) and Keseri means Lion) andthe ruler of the exalted Moon, Venus will be also be exalted. This is all divine Mother and romantic activity and, on the Moons Day Monday! And, this is also a chemistry igniter and attractor as well because Mars and Venus will be in conjunction in Pisces as well. (Not to mention that Mercury will be direct and no longer retrograde!)
