March 13 to April 14 |
| By Christina Collins for Jyotish Star March 2011 We begin our sidereal month with the Sun entering the sign of Pisces, along with Jupiter still residing in its own sign. A Sun Jupiter conjunction generally is the strongest most desirable connection between planets. Still, we must consider the continuing malefic influence of Mars in close to exact 8th house aspect to Saturn, along with a sandi (00 degrees) Sun. (Mars aspects houses 4, 7 and 8, the 8th often being the most malefic). Mars is often quite problematic in the air sign of Aquarius, even though it exalts in Saturns other sign of Capricorn. Because, when it is in Aquarius, it throws its 4th aspect on Taurus (earth sign) and 8th on Virgo (earth sign) and the remain earth sign, Capricorn is the 12th house from it. (12th is the house of loss). This is why Aquarius is long considered to be the most challenging rising sign to experience. Because, the first house of the self, and the 12th house of loss, have the same ruler, Saturn. Saturn will become more favorable when it goes direct and moves ever closer to Libra, its house of exaltation. In this case, Saturn, sits in the 8th earth sign from Mars. This combination along with the fact the nodes of the moon, Rahu and Ketu, are fast retrograding back toward their sign of debilitation. Some of the earth changes, the explosions (Mars in an air sign), fires (Mars aspects Leo, a fire sign, from its position in Aquarius), along with the nodes in Air and Fire are producing strong imbalances in Nature. For those of you who attended the Nama Nakshatra Webinar at ACVA online, (and you can still purchase it at www.acvaonline.com ) we talked about this very upcoming earthquake and explosion danger on February 19th! For a more in depth explanation go to www.jyotishstar.com/earthquakandexplosions. Mercury, the dispositor of Ketu continues in debilitation, though initially temporarily cancelled by its conjunction with the Moon, forming neecha banga raja yoga. Venus, in good for her Capricorn begins the month in very close to exact degree as Saturn. It is often difficult in mundane affairs when the dispositor (ruler of the sign where a planet resides) transits in debilitation). This also will improve as Venus moves ever closer to exaltation in Pisces. March 14 - Sun Moves into Pisces, conjunct Mercury and Jupiter and opposite SaturnRx in Virgo. March 15 - Venus becomes sandi at 29 Capricorn March 16 - Venus moves into zero Aquarius March 24 - Mars becomes sandi at 29 Aquarius March 25 - Mars moves into Pisces with its good friend the Sun, its best friend Jupiter, and its enemy Mercury forming a stellium conjunction of 4 planets opposite Saturn. March 27 - Mercury enters 29 degrees of Pisces, one of the most challenging sandi placements. It is not only becoming sandi, and changing signs, but it is also in the last sign, and the last nakshatra of the zodiac. When the sun does this same move, changing from a water sign to a fire sign, it is called balaristha, or infant mortality, and considered grace of God if you survive your birth. There of course are three of these solar ingress changes, Cancer to Leo, Scorpio to Sagittarius, and the most difficult, Pisces to Aries. Mercury, who rules Revati, the last Nakshatra, is particularly unstable here, and more so at 00 Aries, as Mars and Mercury are enemies, not friends. March 28 - Mercury moves to zero Aries. March 28 - Jupiter and Saturn will both be 20 degrees and in opposition. This is a very spiritual connection, so intend to spend some time within, or in meditation these last days of March. March 29 - Mars directly aspects Ketu at 3 - 14 degree March 30 - Mercury, who is still zero degrees of Aries, goes retrograde moving back towards its sign of debilitation! April 1 - the Moon joins Jupiter, Sun, and Mars in Pisces, forming both Hamsa Yoga, and shubra ketari yoga of the Sun and Mars. (they will be enclosed by two benefics, the Moon and Jupiter). April 2 - Malefic Mercury retrogrades back into Pisces, its sign of debilitation. However, while it is retrograde, one thinking is that it is neecha banga, and that debilitation is cancelled because of the retrograde motion of a debilitated planet. And, of course, now we have 5! Planets in conjunction in Pisces, and all opposite Saturn . . . (6 if you count Uranus, and for mundane affairs, I do). April 3 - New Moon This day forms our Varshaphal or annual chart for the year 2011. We commonly refer to it as the new Moon in Pisces chart and it is erected for the capitol of each country every year on the new moon (sun conjunct the moon) in Pisces for use in mundane predictions, such as earth changes and political elections. And this is an intense combination, because the Sun and Moon will be aspected by all of the planets except Venus and the Nodes! April 13 - The Sun becomes sandi at 29° Pisces. April 14 - The Sun enters exaltation at zero Aries. Christina Collins Biography:
