June 1st to June 30th 2014 |
| by Vachaspati Christina Collins We begin the month with Jupiter and Moon in Gemini is the next to the last Gaja Keseri yoga of 2014. (there will be another one when the Moon is in Sagittarius two weeks later). After that Jupiter will move to exaltation in Cancer and we will begin to see Hamsa Yoga forming instead. (The yoga of discrimination formed when Jupiter is exalted, or in its own sign in an angle from the Moon.) it forms 3 years out of 12, when Jupiter transits through Cancer, Sagittarius or Pisces. We view it as a spiritual condition when Jupiter aspects Saturn (which happens now with Jupiter in Gemini aspecting Saturn in Libra, and will occur again in November when Saturn moves to Scorpio and receives Jupiters aspect from Cancer) or Saturn aspects Jupiter, as it will once Jupiter moves on the 18th to Cancer. Some very interesting individuals will be incarnating on this transit. Think about who you know who was born in 1954 or 1955. Some of our greatest leaders. Also some with greatness that could not manifest. Many times with a lot of exalted planets in a natal chart, the individual, who could achieve and manifest greatness never has quite the ambition to pursue the dream. Inherent in the thought of oh, I could do that, this soul feels satisfied just knowing, that it could be done. The good fortune that this transit of the two great teachers in exaltation brings (depending upon the total chart) is that life comes with comfort, happiness, wealth or a trust fund. June first the Sun will be in Taurus, hemmed between benefics Venus and Mercury in Shubra Ketari yoga. Though perception of the sweetness may be tricky, as the ruler of the Taurus Sun, Venus will be transiting 12th from the Sun in Aries with Ketu. Finally in direct motion, Mars in Virgo now aspects Venus (and Ketu) and its own sign of Aries. Saturn exalts in Libra aspected by Jupiter, Venus , Rahu and Ketu. June 2 The Moon moves to its own sign of Cancer. June 7 Two events, Mercury goes Retrograde in Gemini/Ardra And, Moon and Mars in tight conjunction in Virgo and Mars aspects Venus. All at 17 degrees. June 9 Moon will be in Papa Ketari yoga (hemmed between malefics, Rahu and Saturn) and sadi sati (Moon conjunct Saturn) in Libra, an air sign with Jupiter also in the air sign of Gemini aspecting this yoga. If you have to fly (like many will who have summer events to attend) then leave earlier than you think you need to for travelling to the airport. Count your things every time you move. (Leaving the car, leaving the check-in desk, leaving the waiting area to board, and before you exit the plane.) Rahu close to the Moon clouds consciousness, Mercury retrograde makes the intellect forget what it is doing, and causing you to have to go back for something you forgot. Not just you, but everyone around you will be affected as well, to what degree depends upon the individual natal charts. Smile more, be more tolerant of others on this day. June 10 The above transit continues, and will be even more challenging as it is Tuesday. Avoid flying the 10th if possible. June 13 Full Moon in Scorpio (Sidereal Wesak which celebrates the birth, the life birthday and liberation (death) of Buddha. Many in the world observe this with the tropical zodiac or when the Moon exalts. Most often celebrated with the Sun in Aries in the west, or in the Hindu month of Vaisakha, which occurs in April/May (from the Pali; Sanskrit Vesakha) Because I channel Ascended Master DK (who suggests that both dates work, because of the massive spiritual group focus, but that the original date of celebration was related to the Hindu sidereal zodiac, rather than the tropical). I personally celebrate Wesak when the Sun is in Taurus and the Moon is in spiritual Scorpio. In the Nama sounds, the VA or WA sound falls in Taurus. Nama means name and each pada of the 108 padas making up the nakshatras relates to a specific sound. The name sound Wesak falls in Taurus.
June 14 The Sun goes sandi at 29°00 Taurus and will change to 00 on the 15th. This is a Saturday and Sunday have a staycation and avoid travel this weekend. The dasa will be Ketu (Moon in Mula) and the ruler (dispositor) of the Sun, Venus will be 12th from the Sun with Ketu. Also be careful around fires both open and in the kitchen. June 14 Closely after the Sun turns sandi, (4 hours) Jupiter also reaches its last degree of a sign (Gemini). June 15 the Sun moves to Gemini. A few hours later Mercury will retrograde back out of Ardra to Mrigashira. (this is a temper losing situation). June 17 Venus goes sandi at 29 Aries. June 18 Venus enters own sign of Taurus. And a few hours later, also on the 18th Jupiter will move into exaltation in Cancer! Keep in might the strength will not be complete until Jupiter reaches a degree of arc and is no longer sandi at zero. June 24 Moon will exalt in tight conjunction with dispositor Venus in Taurus, (so that will be Moon, Jupiter, Saturn exalted and Venus and Mercury in their own signs. Sweet! June 27 A tricky new Moon in Gemini, both in the difficult nakshatra Rahu ruled Ardra. Mercury, the ruler of both will be retrograded back to a sandi position at 00°59 degrees. Rahu, about to become sandi at 00°00 will trine this Mercury in Mars ruled Mrigashira. Rahu influencing Mars energy is similar to Saturn aspecting Mars. Planetary war. June 28 A nice Saturday evening! Our first Hamsa Yoga formed with the Jupiter exalted and the Moon in its own sign of Cancer. (Hamsa of course also forms any time the rising sign is angular to the exalted Jupiter, which is Aries rising, Cancer rising, Libra rising and Capricorn rising.) There are a great many variations of Hamsa, and it occurs approximately 8 hours in every 24. The really stellar ones though form with the Moon or rising sign in Cancer for the Jupiter exalted in Cancer year. July 1 Mercury will go direct (so it will not retrograde back into Taurus) and Rahu and Ketu will go sandi at 00°59. (The nodes will move from 00°00 Aries to 29°59 Pisces on Sunday, July 13th! .
