Jupiter Moves To Aries |
| Jyotish Star April 2011 by Christina Collins Jupiter makes its transit around the Zodiac once every twelve months. As Jupiter transits through each sign we experience varied results. Jupiter expresses the best results in three signs.
This last Pisces Jupiter could not quite produce the most spiritual Hamsa, as a little shadow called Rahu, or the north node of the moon transited in one of Jupiters signs Sagittarius. This gives a more material quality to a birth. Speaking of the nodes, with the nodes residing in Gemini and Sagittarius, Mercury and its activities were also affected, and in some cases afflicted. In an air sign we see explosions and breakdown in communications, that will be lifting off as the nodes change. Now we need to pay attention to the activities of Venus and Mars. Who both move more frequently, not as frequently as Mercury, but much more frequently than Jupiter. The next 18 months will bring much quick change. Sometimes it can be useful to keep a journal of experiences each time Venus or Mars transit through a sign and house. Every 30 years Saturn returns to its natal position. Every 12 years Jupiter returns to its natal position. About every 60 years they both return to the natal position. For example, people who are 59 or just turning 60 right now, in 2011 have their Pisces Jupiter and Virgo Saturn return. Saturn and Jupiter aspect (dristi in Sanskrit which means to cast a glance) by position, opposition (as do all planets). Saturn also aspects houses 3 and 10 from its position and Jupiter 5 and 9 or the trines. (Incidentally, Mars also has a special set, 4 and 8). They will mutually aspect one, two or three houses that are the same house. In the case of 6/8 aspect there is no mutual house being aspected, and this brings potential problems. Jupiter expands. Saturn restricts. Jupiter teaches wisdom and heals. Saturn often teaches life lessons through difficulties and circumstances that must be focused upon and learned. Sometimes in the form of events of loss such as death of loved ones. Sometimes in the form of personal health issues. Now, they form some semblance of balance when they both aspect a house. Jupiter expands it. Saturn restricts it. One of the reasons that a good Jupiter Saturn connection will make a person consider law for a career focus. The two bring about a kind of balance. However, when Jupiter moves into Aries in a couple of weeks, it will remove its healing support to its friend Mars ruled house of Scorpio, yet for another year, Saturn will continue to aspect Scorpio. Additionally, the debilitated Rahu and Ketu will aspect Scorpio. So, it is urgent that Scorpio people (Moon, Rising, Sun, or several planets posited in Scorpio) take stock in their lives, note their current Dasa or time period and focus on taking care of business. Also Taurus by opposition should focus on their personal relationships -- both marriage and business. When Jupiter and Saturn are in this 6/8 situation (6th and 8th from each other) we experience no mutual signs in aspect. In other words, when Jupiter is in Pisces, as it will be until May, Jupiter aspects the water signs and Virgo by opposition. Saturn aspects Scorpio, Pisces and Gemini. Three different signs in aspect. When Jupiter moves to Aries, for a year Saturn will still reside moving through Virgo. The entire time, Saturn restricts without the influence of Jupiter the signs Virgo, Scorpio, Pisces and Gemini. Conversely Jupiter by its 5 and 9 aspect will expand the signs Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Libra by opposition will receive Jupiters opposition aspect. Benefit will occur, but not as great as for Aries and Leo, the houses of Jupiters friends, Mars and the Sun. Once Saturn moves to Libra on November 14th 2011 with Jupiter still in Aries, they will mutually aspect each others signs of Aries and Libra, along with Sagittarius. (Saturn by its 3rd and Jupiter by 9th trine). As of April 2011 -- Saturn/Jupiter Transit Key Saturn aspects from:

So, we will go from the current three houses in play, Virgo, Pisces and Scorpio with Jupiter in Pisces and Saturn in Virgo to NO houses in play when Jupiter is in Aries and Saturn transits Virgo to three in play again, Aries, Libra and Sagittarius once Saturn moves to Libra. Then, just as it settles into more balance, Jupiter moves to Taurus and once again NO mutual houses are in Play Jupiter aspects Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, Saturn from Libra, aspects Libra, Aries, Sagittarius and Cancer. The next couple of years will go up and down because of this expansive Jupiter and restrictive focusing Saturn aspecting three houses each to no houses each, back to three houses in common. The last time Jupiter transited in Aries while Saturn transited in Virgo occurred in 1952. Nuclear testing in Nevada began around that time. You can search for 1952 event timelines and watch these planetary experiences repeat. Remember it is not always the extreme you might expect. One Saturn in Pisces dried up water and caused the dust bowl, in the USA. The same Saturn years later brought unheard of floods. Christina Collins Biography:
