Jupiter Exalts on June 18, 2014 |

Ketu, an unpredictable planet will likely cause some major �water play� from its location in the water sign of Pisces, aspecting by its trine both Cancer and Scorpio the other two water signs. In November Ketu will also aspect Saturn who will be in Scorpio. If you need new plumbing you might want to address this before Jupiter moves in June or before Ketu moves to Pisces on July 13th, 2014. What we can look for is extremes. Floods, droughts, water disasters from carpet flooding to Tsunamis. Saturn in a water sign can �dry up� water causing droughts, Jupiter in water can expand the boundaries of water causing flooding. We will see this more in the 2nd half of the transit. By the way, the day that the nodes change, and reach 29°59 in Pisces (Ketu) and Virgo (Rahu), Mars will be conjunct Rahu by degree. 29°47 at initial conjunction. (blind rage is one way to look at it. The Sun will be in a kendra (Gemini) or squaring the whole thing, at 27°08. Not an easy transition/weekend (happens on a Sunday). Planets influence us by transiting over the positions of our natal planets, and over natal houses by position and aspect. Every cycle of Jupiter through a sign differs depending upon the placement of all of the other natal and transiting planets. Jupiter and Saturn last transited both exalted forming respectively Hamsa and Sasa yogas was in 1954. Those of you who were born after June 9th of 1954 and for the following 12 months will be turning 60. Congratulations! Saturn returns to its natal position every 30 years, while Jupiter returns to its natal position every 12 years. When we are 60 years old, then Saturn and Jupiter both return to their natal positions. Sixty is a milestone, for we have experienced the transit of Saturn through each sign twice since birth, and the transit of Jupiter to its natal home, five times since birth. Often we get similar situations in life similar to the life experience at incarnation. Born to wealth? Wealth can return on this transit depending upon the dasa timing cycle in play. Born to less than wealth? Don�t take a lot of financial risks in the coming year. Stay within your means. Better yet, get a follow up Jyotish consult with your astrologer to see the whole picture. Jupiter in Cancer in June 2014 until July 2015 When Jupiter initially moves into Cancer it will be weak (using Washington, DC for location). Not only will it be sandi at 00°00 but also the Lagna (Capricorn) and Chandra Lagna ( Aquarius) will both be ruled by exalted Saturn who is conjunct a malefic (Rahu). The Sun will be in Gemini, with Mercury in its own sign of Gemini. The dispositor of Jupiter, the Moon, will be in the 8th house from Jupiter in a secata yoga. (6/8 axis) Jupiter will no longer trine Saturn. (From Gemini, Jupiter aspects by its 5th trine, and Saturn does not aspect Jupiter � From Cancer, Jupiter will not aspect Saturn in Libra, however Saturn with aspect Jupiter by its 10th aspect). So Jupiter, the planet of Luck, expansion, wisdom, prosperity will be initially subdued by Saturn until Saturn moves to Scorpio on November 2, 2014. Of note, is that this Jupiter ingress chart will produce the first Hamsa Yoga for 5 years. (Since Jupiter was in Pisces). Jupiter will be exalted in an angle from the rising sign (Capricorn). Hamsa was a spiritual swan who could discern �truth,� with the ability to when drinking a mixture of milk and cream, remove only the milk while leaving the cream behind. Similar stories say the mixture was blood and milk, removing only the milk and water and milk, removing only the milk. The bottom line, is that Hamsa yoga brings powerful good tidings to individuals who have this yoga. It is dominant in the charts of leaders, and spiritual teachers. Quite often it is found in the charts of Jyotishis. Hamsa forms when Jupiter is in exaltation (Cancer), own sign (Pisces) or own sign (Sagittarius) in an angle from the rising sign or the Moon. It forms in 3 years out of 12. Hamsa yoga is one of the Pancha Maha Purusha yogas. The five great yogas of all time. Five planets (non-luminary) form these yogas
Hamsa Yoga (Jupiter) and Malavya Yoga (Venus) produce raja yoga and bring prosperity and success. We recently had Venus transiting in exaltation in Pisces forming Malavya. Malavya will occur again when Venus transits Taurus. We will all feel the blessing of this Jupiter transit in some way, although perhaps not as much as we would because of the additional influence of transiting Ketu and Saturn. For the water signs of Cancer, Pisces and Scorpio the greatest relief will come. Cancer people (Sun, Moon, rising sign), have had Jupiter transiting the 12th house of loss in Gemini, aspecting the 4th house Libra, and the 8th house Aquarius. Many Cancers report to me trouble with 4th house matters (fixed assets, real estate) unless they used muhurtas for property deals. Jupiter in Cancer will aspect the Lagna, the 5th and 9th houses (both trines) and very beneficial for career, dharma, children, and personal health. Cancer will be the most influenced for it is the sign that Jupiter and Saturn mutually aspect. Keep in mind that each natal chart is unique and for a true understanding of these 2014 major changes in transits (Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu and Saturn) they must be interpreted according to your own planetary positions. Below is a general meaning of what it will be like to have Jupiter affect each sign. However if you have natal planets in these houses, and other planets aspecting these houses as well, and other transiting planets aspecting these houses � then be sure examine your own charts at this time and/or make an appointment with a reputable astrologer who can interpret your specific experience. Aries Jupiter aspects the 4th house by position, the 8th (Scorpio) and 12th (Pisces) by trine. Fourth house matters pick up, good for education, property, vehicles. Spiritual experiences will be on the increase from the 8th and 12 house aspect, especially after July when Ketu transits to Pisces. (Ketu is moksha karaka and does well in a 12th house transit). The main house in play will be the 4th house as that is the house that Jupiter and Saturn will mutually aspect. This is the year for real estate for Aries, you could even move especially in the fall when transiting Mars is in your 9th aspecting Jupiter and your 4th house by its 8th aspect. Moving could be related to career/business or education. Some will have responsibilities with their Mothers. Taurus Jupiter will aspect the 3rd house by position, the 7th house by trine, and the 9th house by opposition and the 11th by its 9th trine. As Upachayas (houses 3, 6, 10 and 11) improve over time, the older you are the more beneficial this transit will be for gains in business and pursuing your dharma or life purpose. The 3rd house receives the mutual aspect from Jupiter and Saturn � the focus will be on communication, younger siblings, and relatives on both sides maternal and paternal. (Jupiter will aspect the 9th (Father) by opposition and the 3rd is 8th from the 8th, and 12th from the 4th � so maternal side relatives may end of in hospital (or the ashram or jail, or simply move on). Jupiter transiting the 3rd expands courage which is helpful to a resistant type of Taurus individual. Very wonderful transit for those with exalted Taurus Moon � for this Jupiter exalts in the Sign of the Moon. Gemini Jupiter aspects the 2nd house by position, the 6th house by trine, the 8th house by opposition and the 10th house by trine. Health should improve and earnings from career will expand. Choose healthy foods, there will be a tendency to overeat or overindulge or eat weird food combinations. (Especially after Ketu moves to Pisces and alone aspects Jupiter in the 2nd house by transit, and Saturn moves to Scorpio � no longer aspecting the 2nd house of eating food.) Jupiter transiting the 2nd house should make your face shine and your smile expand! You will also enjoy family life � and study. The mutual aspect of exalted Jupiter and Saturn dominantly influence the 2nd house. Jupiter expands, Saturn restricts � bringing 2nd house matters into balance. The second house will be the house of focus this year. Cancer Great for this sign. Jupiter will exalt in and aspect House one. Ruler of the 9th transiting the first is very benefic for business. Jupiter also aspects the 7th house of marriage and partnership along with the 5th house of love affairs and children. Exalted Saturn�s aspect from Libra also on the ascendant stabilizes the moon ruled person. Great for beginning educational pursuits, and starting new businesses. (Get a murhurta done though as the moon and sun need to be well placed). This combined transit of Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn aspecting Cancer carries spiritual expression as well � great for learning mantra meditation like TM (Transcendental Meditation). The mutual aspect of exalted Saturn and exalted Jupiter both on the sign of Cancer lifts this ascendant. Leo A time for the lion to enjoy 12th house matters. A deep spiritual transit while both Jupiter and Saturn aspect the 12th house of sleep, the ashram, and foreign cities. This good effect will be doubled for those born 60 years ago who have natal charts with Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Libra. (Of course this will be variable depending upon what other natal planets aspect the sign Cancer and what the present individual planetary dasa cycle states.) Jupiter will also aspect the 6th house � good for serving the dharma (the 6th house is always 10th from the 9th or how we serve the life purpose). Pay attention to knee health. Warm up before you exercise. The mutual house in play is the 12th, the house of moksha or spiritual enlightenment. Virgo Jupiter in Cancer posits in the house of gains and friends for Virgo. Jupiter�s trine to Scorpio, the 3rd house of communication and younger siblings brings gains to Virgo with family. Sometimes shy Virgo comes out of the shell under this transit. Jupiter�s aspect to the 5th and 7th could bring love and marriage to this sign who often marries late due to the pursuit of perfection and sense of order. (first I have to get the education, then the job, then the house, then the furniture � then I can get married. . .) Of course, we have to once again look at the entire chart. A strong Mars or a Mars aspect to the ascendant can make a Virgo move quicker and marry younger. Exalted Jupiter aspecting the 5th could bring children, and will be good for existing children of Virgos. The mutual aspect of Saturn and Jupiter fall on the 11th house of gains. Our Virgos will be showered with friends, old and some new! Libra Well Jupiter in the 10th house by position will start the Libra dreaming about big career moves. Teaching, earning more, publishing � and these can come to fruition after the nodes change signs, moving away from their ascendant and house of partnership. (Libra/Aries) With Jupiter and soon Ketu both aspecting the 6th house � don�t expand too fast. There will also be a tendency to overeat or eat too quickly with Jupiter�s aspect to the 2nd house. With the major focus on the 10th house of occupation (Saturn and Jupiter mutually aspect the 10th) the trick for Libra will be to move from the dreaming stage to the manifesting stage quickly. Exalted yogkaraka Saturn transiting the ascendant may cause delays. Once Rahu moves to the 12th house clarity of focus returns for Libra. Many Libras will move or change residence under this transit. Scorpio Relief comes to Scorpio from Jupiter, ruler of the 5th transiting the 9th in exaltation. Business endeavors should expand and be more productive, than the recent Jupiter�s transit to a Mercury ruled 8th house. Focus will turn to the 9th house where the mutual aspect of exalted Saturn and exalted Jupiter fall. Father, Guru, Preceptor will be appreciated or found. Ninth is the house of Dharma or life purpose. When Ketu moves to Pisces and also trines the 9th sign Cancer, (with Jupiter in Cancer in the 9th and aspecting Pisces by trine) it is possible that Scorpio will change the career, choose the dharma, find a different spiritual path, or embrace an earlier connection. Of course each person has a different chart and natal planets aspecting and positioned in Cancer will change how the 9th house will respond. For instance, if you have natal Saturn in Cancer, that 9th house natal Saturn will create lifelong stability and the life purpose pursuit will be enhanced by Jupiter in the 9th but may not change your current direction or religion. Jupiter�s aspect to the 5th house will be good for love and connecting with children and sweetens up the house of purva poonya (past life karma). Sagittarius Jupiter the ruler of the 1st will begin transiting the 8th, who also receives the influence of Saturn from its exalted position in Libra. The normally buoyant, happy, outgoing Sagittarius, will be a bit more withdrawn under this transit. With Ketu transiting the 4th (after it moves back to Pisces), and Saturn and Jupiter mutually aspecting the 8th � (the 8th is 12th from the 9th so this is a time for giving attention to fixed assets and earnings received from others to avoid loss from business. And it could possibly bring inheritance from the Mother�s side of the family depending upon the entirety of the natal chart. This is a good transit to pay more attention to your mother, your home, vehicles and stomach. There could be changes in the educational path as well. Also, as the 8th is the house of transcendence (and kundalini) it will be wise to meditate and do yoga on a regular basis. Look forward to the next year when Jupiter moves to Leo � then you will outwardly shine brighter. This year is more of an inward stroke for Sagittarius. Capricorn Jupiter exalted in the 7th house, with ruler of Capricorn, Saturn exalted in Libra and also aspecting the 7th house makes partnership the focus for Capricorn. Jupiter also aspecting Scorpio, the 11th house of gains and Pisces the 3rd house of communication � gives reluctant Capricorn a boost. If you have been contemplating marriage or forming a partnership with someone business or romantic -- do it soon, while Saturn still aspects the 7th house. Once Saturn moves to Scorpio (November) then the karaka rule applies. If the karaka for a topic is posited in the house who rules over that same topic, it denies instead of gives. For example, the planet Jupiter rules marriage, the 7th house rules over marriage . . . Jupiter in the 7th house can deny marriage (or make it grim.) Currently Saturn�s mutual aspect to the 7th balances out that rule. Ketu who moves to Pisces in July will aspect Cancer as well, and depending upon the rest of the natal chart Capricorn should make partnership moves soon as Ketu can disrupt 7th house matters. Additionally, Jupiter�s aspect to Scorpio, the 11th can bring gains certainly, and Ketu will be aspecting that house too � and as the 11th is 6th from the 6th, and 6th the house of litigation � be sure to go over fine print and put everything in writing. Prenuptial agreements, Partnership agreements, even roommate living together agreements � write it all down and get it notarized. Aquarius Jupiter lord of the 11th aspecting the 10th and 2nd is very productive for business. Transiting through the 6th, Aquarius who lives to serve anyway expands service to the destiny. The mutual aspect of Jupiter and Saturn to the 6th gives the house of focus for Aquarius. As Jupiter in Cancer aspects all water signs, and 6th can be the house of accidents � be advised to check your plumbing to avoid flooding. This transit of Jupiter is a very busy work transit so take care to not overwork to the detriment of your health, and to pay attention to detail to avoid litigation. The nicest thing about this transit is the aspect to the 12th house. Meditation and the dream state should prove very spiritual and rewarding. Pisces Jupiter exalted in Cancer aspects the Pisces 1st house. Extremely beneficial for health. The house mutually aspected by Saturn and Jupiter is Cancer, the 5th house of children, mantra meditation, the depth of the mind and sports. All will benefit under this great transit. Even the Ketu transiting the ascendant will take on the energy of this good Jupiter and assist the self in turning towards spiritual matters. Ketu�s trine to the 5th and Jupiter (the karaka for children) residing in the 5th means Pisces should focus a little more on their children. Because Jupiter and Saturn mutually aspect the 5th � love could appear on the scene � as could new children. Mutual aspect of Jupiter and Saturn to Cancer June 19th to November 2nd 2014
