HRH Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge

Jyotish Star August 2013

by Christina Collins

The British Monarchy welcomed the birth of His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge on July 22nd 2013 at 4:24 pm at St. Marys Hospital in Reading, England. His parents, Prince William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge chose his name from a long list of royal family names.

As an astrologer, I was hoping and happy to see that the initial name sound Ja of his Capricorn moon in Uttara Ashada became the chosen sound of his first name. Of course it made me wonder if a Jyotishi had been consulted for a name sound. However, in my practice over 50% of people are coincidentally given the initial sound of their name (usually the first name) that belongs to the pada of the nakshatra of their Moon. (Nama nakshatras are the 108 sounds of the
padas or divisions of the 27 Nakshatras also called, lunar mansions, constellations or "birth stars".)

CAPUttara AshadaRuled by Sun03°20 TO 06°40JA

The sound JA could have worked for either James or George, and personally I hoped for George -- as he is third in line for the crown, and when crowned unless he changes his name which monarchs can do at the time of coronation he will be King George VII and 7 is lucky!

Prince George has Scorpio rising, like his paternal grandmother Diana. (So hard to think of Diana as a grandmother she will always be eternally young for us). And his Sun is in Cancer like his paternal grandfather Prince Charles who is next in line for the throne.

His Parents both have Gemini Moons in trine with his Navamsa Moon of Aquarius. You can see his destiny in the D10 Dashamsha chart with a Leo rising ruled by an exalted Aries Sun. He will one day be of great service to his dharma with so many lordships from the Moon (Chandra lagna) going to the 6th house, and with ruler of the Moon, Saturn exalted in the 10th in Libra. Additionally, Jupiter in the 6th house trines his Saturn almost by exact degree. Saturn and Jupiter mutually aspect his Libra and Sagittarius houses. Libra is 10th from the Moon and 12th from the ascendant. Sagittarius is 12th from the Moon and 2nd from the Lagna. So he will have strong spiritual inclinations, and though shy as a Scorpio lagna he will speak out his truth in a balanced way.
