Chapter 4 Earthquakes |

| The two earthquakes to be analyzed are the San Francisco earthquake of 1906 and the more recent earthquake that devastated Japan in 2011. The San Francisco Earthquake 1906 The earthquake of 1906 struck San Francisco and the coast of Northern California at 5:12 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 1906. Devastating fires broke out in the city that lasted for several days. As a result of the quake and fires, about 3,000 people died and over 80% of San Francisco was destroyed. The earthquake and resulting fires are remembered as one of the worst natural disasters in the history of the United States alongside the Galveston Hurricane of 1900 and Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The death toll from the earthquake and resulting fires resulted in the greatest loss of life from a natural disaster in California's history. The chart on this day has the signatures noted specifically in earthquakes, one is Neptune exactly opposed Uranus. Mercury is the trigger that activated this tragedy. There needs to be a faster moving planet in hard aspect to activate the long-standing transits. Here Mercury comes to the exact midpoint of Neptune and Uranus � all at 15 degrees. Saturn and Pluto are in a waning square, and Jupiter is combined with Pluto and Mars all in Taurus. This deadly combination may have been the reason for all the fires that destroyed the city. Mars (fire) with Pluto is dangerous plus Jupiter multiplies the effects. Earthquake in Japan 2011 The Earthquake that hit Japan March 11, 2011 was a real monster of a quake. It was the most powerful earthquake ever recorded to have hit Japan, and the fifth most powerful earthquake in the world since modern record keeping began in 1900. The earthquake triggered powerful tsunami waves. The earthquake moved Honshu (the main island of Japan) 2.4 m (8 ft) east and shifted the Earth on its axis by estimates of between 10 cm (4 in) and 25 cm (10 in). A Japanese report confirmed 15,887 deaths, 6,150 injured, and 2,612 people missing across twenty prefectures, as well as 127,290 buildings totally collapsed, with a further 272,788 buildings 'half collapsed', and another 747,989 buildings partially damaged. The earthquake and tsunami also caused extensive and severe structural damage in north-eastern Japan, including heavy damage to roads and railways as well as fires in many areas, and a dam collapse. Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan said, "In the 65 years after the end of World War II, this is the toughest and the most difficult crisis for Japan. Around 4.4 million households in northeastern Japan were left without electricity and 1.5 million without water. The tsunami caused nuclear accidents, primarily the level 7 meltdowns at three reactors in the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant; and the damaged Nuclear planets are still putting out dangerous toxins. I have to admit this is one of the major predictions I made before this event occurred. I write monthly for a Japanese website; and I made the prediction that a dangerous earthquake would hit Japan the month before it happened. I did get thank you notes from readers who changed their plans on account of my prediction. This chart shows Uranus and Saturn in an opposition both squared by Pluto. This combination of Uranus, Pluto and Saturn was prevalent during the 1960s social uprisings that brought about the many assassinations. These were extremely turbulent times. This T-square with Saturn, Uranus and Pluto takes around five years in the making and caused devastation during their aspects. The T-square continued from 2010-2015. There have been many extreme social uprisings during this time all around the world. Fighting and wars keep occurring in Egypt, Libya, Turkey, Israel, Middle East, Russia, and the Ukraine. And as of this writing in 2014 I predict even more devastation to come from this powerful and explosive planetary combination. The triggering force among this forming T square is Rahu and Ketu for the earthquake indicator planet Uranus is exactly at the midpoint of Rahu and Ketu. Rahu with Pluto causes many deaths as a result. Jupiter and Saturn are also in opposition with Jupiter multiplying the effects of Uranus by being in the same sign. As we sift through all the charts of huge change and destruction in the world the really hard part is to be able to predict where an event will occur even though we see the propensity for these catastrophes. The answer is to apply all these event charts to a natal chart of a country. Here is where it can get tricky for we are unsure as to the accuracy of the birth charts as to when a country actually formed. The time of day is usually next to impossible, but we have some charts and they appear to work very well. In this case I have the birth chart for Japan as it reformed after World War II. With this birth chart for Japan I was able to predict the day of this massive Earthquake. Overlaying the transits of that day into the birth chart for Japan The most significant event was that transiting Mars hit the midpoint of natal Rahu and Ketu. Transiting Rahu and Ketu are powerfully charged by the fact that transiting Uranus is at the midpoint of the transiting lunar nodes (Rahu/Ketu). Transiting Ketu was exactly in 6/8 relationship (quincunx) with natal Mars causing the extreme reaction of this most devastating earthquake. The other variable that set off this earthquake involves transiting Neptune as it squares natal Mars of Japan�s chart. Mars is the ruler of the ascendant affecting this chart on a deeply personal level. Furthermore Neptune is in the 4th house of the home or land. (Houses are discussed in Part IV) Mars is to be watched as to future effects with Japan. So the specific action of this chart involved the earthquake denominators both Uranus and Neptune through their transits, and Mars by its natal position and transit.
