 |  | In order to help identify outstanding work by members of the Vedic astrology community, the American College of Vedic Astrology � (ACVA) Board of Directors initiated the Jyotish Navaratna Award, (The Nine Jewels of Vedic Astrology). The award is based on excellent contributions to the field of Vedic astrology and for special service and support for the goals of the American College of Vedic Astrology�, that is to extend the quality and reach of Vedic astrology to learners around the world.
Past recipients include such luminaries as: Dennis Harness, PhD.; William Levacy, PhD.; Dennis Flaherty; Gayatri Devi Vasadev; Pundit Vamadeva | Shastri; Swami Sitaramananda; Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar; and Arya Bhushan Shukla.
ACVA is proud to announce that the recipient for the Navaratna Award 2014 is Christina Collins. Congratulations!
Christina is a consulting Vedic astrologer at Celestial Resource, and is a founding board member of the American College of Vedic Astrology� (ACVA). Christina holds many professional titles, including prestigious awards from the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS), founded by Dr. B.V Raman, such as Jyotish Kovid, Jyotish Vachaspati, and Jyotish Medha Pragya.
